May I post only on topics about the Enneagram?

Discussion about the Enneagram leads into many interesting topics from psychology to spirituality to daily life. The Enneagram list is not a moderated list, however the threads are usually directly related to the Enneagram. How can I contribute to the list if I am not sure of my type?

Identifying one's own type can be a time of questioning which is useful for others to see. In theory we all have access to all nine points, so for example, you might wish to comment on a 9-ish behavior, although you are not yet able to say your core point is 9. The list is a good place to get feedback on the differentiation between types, and on your own patterns, but don't expect others to type you.

Where are all the (pick a type)?

The spread of types who contribute to the list is a topic in itself. At times it appears there are lots of 4s and 5s here, along with many 7s and several 1s. Fewer 2s, 6s and 9s. Fewer yet 3s or 8s. There has been some speculation as to why the medium of email, and the subject matter itself, might attract certain types. You might wish to comment on your own motivations for contributing to the list. And who can say which types subscribe and lurk?
